It is well known that the role of matrix methods has evolved from a tool through which statistical problems could be more conveniently expressed to an absolutely essential part in the more complicated statistical analyses. As such, a background in matrix analysis has become a vital part of learning statistics. In this subject, we will experience some various applications using matrices in statistics. In order to calculate matrix operations easily, we will use the R or SAS/IML in practice time which is provided by TA.
